In the Shadows, the Producers Cut begins with a live, Woodstock-styled, solo distorted lead guitar performance. This is the long version with the Jimi Hendrix-style guitar intro and a first-take lead melody and guitar performance. It was recorded in San Francisco's North Beach area, played from a nine-story apartment overlooking the San Francisco Bay, Fisherman's Whorf, and Alcatraz, on the 4th of July 1995.
